Sophomore Aubrey Tatro (#22)made a major impact during the 2025–2026 season, emerging as one of the top offensive threats for the Madera Coyotes Varsity Girls Soccer Team. Despite being one of the younger players on the roster, Tatro led the team in several key offensive categories and consistently created scoring opportunities throughout the season.
She finished the year with 9 goals and 50 total shots, averaging 0.4 goals per match. She also converted both of her penalty kicks during overtime shootouts, demonstrating composure in high-pressure moments. Throughout the season, she contributed across multiple positions—including defender, midfielder, and striker—showcasing her versatility and overall impact on the field. According to MaxPreps statistics, when playing in defensive rotations she recorded a 0.0 goals-against percentage, further highlighting her ability to contribute on both sides of the ball.
While she played an attacking role for Madera High, Aubrey’s primary club position is Center Back with Valley United, based in Fresno, California. There she anchors the defense and brings a physical, aggressive style of play, with Outside Back as her secondary position. Her combination of defensive strength, field awareness, and scoring ability gives her the rare ability to influence the game across the entire field.
Beyond soccer, Aubrey is also a three-sport varsity athlete, competing in Water Polo (#2) and Swimming, where she qualified for the 2025 Valley Finals.
At the club level, Aubrey has played Premier-level soccer with Valley United (2024–2026) and gained additional experience in the Girls Academy (GA) League with West Coast Soccer Academy in 2024. She began playing soccer at age four and has competed at a high level throughout her youth career, including helping her teams capture three State Cup Championships with Valley United’s 2009 and 2010 squads. She currently competes with Valley United’s 2009 and 2010 NPL teams and also plays for Madera Evolution FC, a semi-professional club based in Madera, California.
With her versatility, leadership, and competitive drive, Aubrey Tatro continues to establish herself as a rising multi-sport athlete in California’s Central Valley.

1 fight in the 12yo class, and they moved her to the 14 advanced division.

Although the girls are playing up an age (2009), they are slowly streaming together a winning streak and are currently 5-0 and leading the division. According to the coach, they decided to play up so they could stay more local during the spring season. In addition, if they played in their age group, we would have been playing against our own Black Team. That causes issue if we need to guest play certain players. For example, Aubrey plays on both the 2010 Black Team and the 2010 Orange Team, and the Orange Team playing up, allows her to play on both. Can we finish 8-0? We will see. It looks like a tight race between both the Valley United Teams (09 Franco and 10 Julio).

This girl's team has been on an upward roll for months. They went from High Silver Division 2 years ago, to Premier this year and without missing a beat, and they took State Cup by storm. The team shut out both opponents in the semi finals and finals to secure a Championship victory in overtime on Saturday. Aubrey almost ended the game in regulation with 30 seconds to go, when she carried the ball from the whole field. She got the shot off, but not before they knocked her off balance... she still got the shot off, but by the time she recovered, the goalie recovered and snatched the ball.

According to Coach Julio Dolores, the message was "Have fun and enjoy the moment!" and the team embraced the opportunity and as you can see, they enjoyed the moment as well. "We were very fortunate to have things go our way" Coach Tatro said. "The game was pretty even with a lot of highs and lows, but we just kept grinding... our defense was so solid, and our keeper never gave an inch". Proof as Trinity Bannister guessed correct on a PK and they had several set pieces from just outside the box that were denied. Between Aubrey's field blocks, Bannister's on point goal keeping and the team's ability to clear out... they really never posed a threat beyond what Bannister could handle.

Aubrey shows why her throw in is such asset on the team's attack.

Aubrey and some of her 2010 teammates played up with the 12 year old (2009) team and won State Cup

Aubrey normally plays wing and center-back on this team, but in the Championship she had to play goalie, as our #1 goalie was out.

This team played to a 2-0 victory and are displaying the new hardware!

And Then There Was One 11/20/2019
On Saturday 11/16/19 the Valley United 2010 Girls played in the semi-finals for the Silver Div, in NORCAL's State Cup. They played the Merced Mustangs to a 3-1 victory. The team seamed a little sluggish at first, but caught their stride after about 15 minutes. Aubrey remains on her game, and has really started to develop as a fast, knowledgeable player. Her grasp of the game has provided the team with someone who seems to know where the plays are developing from the first touch.
On Sunday it was a showdown between the United Girls and the girls from Rocklin out of Sacramento. The first score came down to a PK in the box for hands, and our littlest player roped in our first goal. Our defense was playing stellar, and Aubrey once again was as aggressive as I have every seen. That pressure allowed us to keep the ball on our offensive half, and kept them on their heels. With two minutes to go in the game, we made some changes to allow our reserves to experience the pressures of a final. With 15 seconds to go in the game, Rocklin took advantage of the girls in transition, and even the score. In this game there was no "Golden Goal" and the girls would play 10 minutes of overtime.
Captains Aubrey Tatro and Naomi Delores started things off by winning the toss and claiming 1st possession. This proved to be the winning move. The girls were able to split the pressure between the forwards and our left forward slipped behind their defense and sealed the fate with our second goal. Our defense did the rest. This was our Valley United 2010 Girls biggest win this year and will provide a foundation to help build our program. Some teams choose the best 10 girls from a large group, and we took all 14 girls that tried out and made the best with what we had... and as you can see, that turned out to be pretty good!
